Victor France
- Wallaby reserve 02 2010- photographic print
Victor France has exhibited widely in Australia and is held in a number of collections including The Wesfarmers Collection of Australian Art, National Library of Australia, Art Gallery of Western Australia and numerous private collections around the world. Victor often undertakes commissions which are site or theme specific.
The landscape and natural environment have continued to inform Victor's practice for the past forty years. This practice includes the observation of unrelenting change which all extant species face; whether that be from the seasons and the subtle changes the particularly unique Australia Flora experiences in germination and transitioning to inevitable death.
'Often it is not the hard edged memories of a place, event or object which stay with us but fleeting fragments, it is in this expressionist view that I find most meaning, the visual space between real and imagined which is applied to my photographic vision.'
