COLLABORATE2020 | Wesfarmers gift commission in collaboration with MABEL JULI, PATRICK MUNG MUNG and RAMMEY RAMSEY of Warmun Art Centre and JamFactory | limited edition of vessels in anodized aluminium, etched and engraved

COLLABORATE2020 is a suite of vessels celebrating works of art held in The Wesfarmers Collection by the distinguished artists, Mabel Juli, Patrick Mung Mung and Rammey Ramsey of the Warmun Art Centre, Turkey Creek, located in the East Kimberley region of Western Australia. Wesfarmers and Warmun have over the last three decades developed an enduring and supportive relationship.

Created over 2020 and 2021 in collaboration with each artist, this suite of vessels has been created as a gift commission, designed and produced as a limited edition in anodized aluminium, etched, hand painted and finished by the premier Australian craft studio, JamFactory, Adelaide.

This innovative commission project, involving the development of bespoke processes and techniques to creative the distinctive colour and finish of each piece – provides Wesfarmers with a bespoke corporate gift that is unique to the company and The Wesfarmers Collection of Australian art.

THE VESSELS

These stunning pieces celebrate the distinctive motifs, elegance of design and cultural authority of the artists, who are amongst the most renowned in Western Australia’s Kimberley region. The pieces were hand-crafted, etched and finished by premier Australian craft studio, JamFactory in Adelaide,

Represented internationally, including in the Musée du Quai Branly in Paris, as well as at many major Australian public collections, the significance of each of these artists to Australian culture is reflected in their celebrated contribution to the art of the Kimberley, and also through their role as esteemed teachers and leaders of the Gija people of the East Kimberley.
